The Northwest Illinois Forestry Association is hosting a discussion of the pros and cons of leasing your land for hunting.  Jim Sullivan of Sullivan Realty in Stockton has arranged a number of these leases and will share his experiences and what he has learned.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 9th, 7:00pm, in the downstairs Atwood Room of the Stockton Public Library, 140 West Benton St., Stockton IL.

Youth and forestry will be a secondary topic of discussion.

(The Library is located one block west of Main Street.  Turn between Bauer Agency and The Corner Tap.)

NIFA is an organization of approximately 130 landowners, forestry professionals, and interested individuals devoted to promoting awareness of the economic and environmental value of well managed forested lands in the northwestern 6 counties of Illinois (Jo Daviess, Carroll, Whiteside, Stephenson, Ogle, and Lee). NIFA organizes and sponsors monthly tours and events highlighting forestry related businesses and activities in northwestern Illinois.

These events are open to the public and are a great opportunity for people to see what is going on with forestry right here in our area.
