The Elizabeth office of the NRCS will be providing a presentation on December 5th at 6:30pm at the Stockton Public Library for the Northwest Illinois Forestry Association (NIFA). Beth Points, Soil Conservationist, will be discussing the new conservation easement program, as well as updates on EQIP and CSP, programs for property owners to get assistance in maintaining their land. The NIFA business meeting, including election of officers and directors, will follow the presentation.
The Stockton Public Library is located at 140 Benton St., Stockton. This meeting is free and open to the public. NIFA is a 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated to educating woodland owners and the public as to the benefits of sustainable forestry.
