2026 Family Forestry Field Day

  • Registration Fee: Ages 0-5: $0 | Ages 6-17: $10 | Adults: $15
  • Description: Free tree seedlings (red oak, American plum, and hazelnut) giveaway to all registered people. Enjoy a day of outdoor learning designed for all ages, featuring the IDNR Mobile Education truck, sawmill demonstration, forest and soil health, foraging, invasive species ID and management, and a native tree talk. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about the importance of sustainable forest stewardship. The youth program focuses on wildlife, soil, birds, and trees. Join the Illinois Forestry Association, Walnut Council, Illinois Tree Farm, Illinois Extension, and 4-H educators for this fun-filled forestry day.
