The Northwest Illinois Forestry Association (NIFA) will meet on Tuesday evening, December 11th, at 7 pm, at the Stockton Public Library, to learn of a significant forest threat and to continue planning events for 2019.
With reports of at least two gypsy moth infestations in Jo Daviess County, NIFA has asked Olivia Rauen, Forester for the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), to discuss the insect’s appearance, life cycle, preferred tree species, and treatment options. This may help landowners to spot the insect's egg masses.
The following agenda meeting will finalize a list of tours and events for next year. Both members and the public are welcome to provide their input and suggestions.
The Stockton Public Library is located at 140 West Benton Avenue, Stockton, Illinois.
